Description
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), May 01 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday detained at least 10 workers and a manager of a petrol pump for their alleged involvement in fuel theft in Lucknow. The arrests made by Special Task Force (STF) come at a time when the state police are keeping a strict vigilance on the employees and owners of fuel pumps. During the past one week, the STF has carried out raids at several petrol pumps across parts of the state. The police action comes in a bid to halt petrol pump personnel from dispensing under-measured fuel to customers. Three days back, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan, had warned that ‘strict action’ would be taken against concerned officials and petrol pumps where electronic chips are being used in petrol theft. --------------------------------------Enjoy and stay connected with us!!☛ Follow us: https://twitter.com/ani_news☛ Like us: https://www.facebook.com/ANINEWS.IN☛ Visit our Official website: http://www.aninews.in/☛ Send your suggestions/Feedback:
