Description
A bipartisan delegation of U.S. senators visiting Afghanistan on Tuesday called for a new strategy from the Trump administration to combat an increasingly strong Taliban insurgency. The delegation was led by Senator John McCain, in regional trip that included two days in neighboring Pakistan. According to Reuters, McCain said at press briefing at NATO-coalition headquarters in Kabul Tuesday that "none of us would say that we are on a course to success here in Afghanistan". He then added, "That needs to change--and quickly." McCain is a sharp critic of Trump within the Republican party. The longest war in American history has now gone on for sixteen years. It was a subject that was largely absent from last year’s presidential campaign. http://feeds.reuters.com/~r/reuters/t... http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Vote It using http://wochit.com
