In their September issue, Allure Editor-In-Chief, Michelle Lee, announced that the magazine will no longer use the term "anti-aging." In an article featured on their site she wrote, quote "...We’re subtly reinforcing the message that aging is a condition we need to battle." Lee explained that language matters, adding that both people and beauty companies should stop using phrases like “She looks great...for her age.” To celebrate "growing into their own skin," Allure will feature 72-year-old actress Helen Mirren on their September cover.
