For some unknown reason, these facts did not delay his West Point graduation.Rapone’s actions went viral last week when his pro-communism tweets during the #VetsForKaepernick social media craze caught the eye of the media. To which of course, West Point’s Public Affairs office swiftly released a statement condemning Rapone’s actions. They stated that this traitor’s statements in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army. And that Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command was made aware of his actions and is looking into the matter.Tru News Reports:Florida Senator Marco Rubio has strongly requested that avowed Communist 2nd Lieutenant Spenser Rapone be removed from the U.S. Army, be stripped of and forced to repay the cost of his West Point degree and face punishment for his actionsVERO BEACH, FL (TruNews) On Tuesday Senator Rubio sent the request in a strongly worded letter to acting Army Secretary Ryan McCarthy, with November 1st as the deadline for a response.“I respectfully request the United States Army immediately nullify Rapone’s commission and pursue all available disciplinary options under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Rapone should be required to pay back in full the cost of his education and the United States Military Academy should consider revoking his degree,” Senator Rubio’s letter reads.“It is extremely concerning that someone who so often expressed such hostile views towards the United States’ system of government was able to obtain a commission,” Senator Rubio continued, referencing 2LT Rapone’s anti-American social media postings. “Rapone’s revolutionary ideas were harbored long before he was commissioned as an Army Second Lieutenant. Were West Point administrators or faculty aware of his views and behavior?”Regarding Senator Rubio’s question, a military advisor assigned to West Point at the time of 2LT Rapone’s attendance told TruNews Correspondent Edward Szall the USMA absolutely knew about his “revolutionary” views and behavior prior to his commissioning, and instead of expulsion, chose to verbally counsel him about his beliefs up until his 2016 graduation.The source confirmed the verbal counseling began in 2014 after 2LT Rapone’s views and social media activity were brought to the attention of the leadership for the USMA, and added that there are “almost certainly” other cadets who either held or still hold similar views to the avowed Communist.TruNews has identified 2LT Rapone’s full circle of friends and associates while at USMA, which includes four currently serving Army lieutenants and one foreign graduate from a country with a majority Muslim population.At this time TruNews will not release the names, pictures and postings of the active duty military officers, but strongly suggests friends, associates and sympathizers of 2LT Rapone come forward and disclose the details of their relationships and subsequent illegal actions to Army investigators assigned to the case.“Members of the military who harbor anti-American views and express their desire to harm our country and its leaders are unfit to serve and defend our nation—and certainly should not enjoy the privilege of attending or graduating from an institution such as West Point, a taxpayer-funded military academy,” Senator Rubio’s letter reads, seemingly speaking directly to the known active duty associates of 2LT Rapone.The education 2LT Rapone received is estimated to have cost the tax payers $475,000, and any other graduates who also engaged in illegal political activity while at West Point, or since their commissioning, may also face the requirement to repay the tuition.There is a possibility the Army may show leniency for those who choose to come forward voluntarily as a reward their honesty, and potentially in exchange for more information about military personal who share 2LT Rapone’s radical views.
