Economic and financial data from the Bank of Ghana, indicate that interventions; such as the removal of ''nuisance taxes'', that hampered the growth of the private sector, are yielding the desired results. Speaking at the International Single Window Conference and Exhibition in Accra, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, said the goal of the government is to build the most business-friendly economy in Africa. Dr Bawumia said, measures such as the paperless policy at the ports have helped to reduce demurrage charges by 100 million dollars.
