Bullets Tore Through His Leg in Vegas — But Watch This Man Put The Entire NFL To Shame When President Trump Walks InThe NFL has made a mockery of a time to honor our country, our military, and even our President. Next to liberal hate groups, the NFL has damaged trust and hope in this country in a way even they seem unaware of. At the peak of the hatred in America being spread on every mainstream media outlet, we have been slammed with the most horrific shooting attack our country has ever seen. There are a thousand stories of heroism and bravery coming from those who watched as regular people suddenly became super-heroes. Men and women with everyday backgrounds flew into action and began shielding people from bullets while trying to help stop bleeding wounds and get people to cars to be transported to the hospital. The crowd came together regardless of creed, color, or belief. They saved lives while unselfishly risking their own. Men lost their lives while covering their wives. Strangers carried people to safety. Some even stood amid the gunfire and chaos and showed the shooter some true American spirit with a well placed flipping of the bird. Those stories will all be told in due time as they should. The heroes of that night are the men and women who did a job that wasn’t theirs to do simply because it was the right thing to do.Now we go to those who are still recovering from wounds. Their bodies will heal, but their souls and hearts will forever be scarred. They could blame gun laws as Democrats are want to do. They could blame Republicans or Trump himself if they wanted to. Wrong or right they have suffered such a horrible experience that they could blame anything and no one would argue. However, that is not what many of them are doing–quite the contrary actually. We are lucky enough to see true Americans rising from the ashes of terror. One man beautifully represents the very values and truth of what being an American truly is, and he did it in a hospital gown with a leg ravaged by bullet wounds.According to Independent Journal Review :On Sunday, a shooter opened fire from the 32nd floor of a hotel in Las Vegas on a country music festival below, killing at least 59 and injuring hundreds. Of those shot and hospitalized was Thomas Gunderson. Then, on Wednesday, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump flew to Las Vegas to meet with victims and came across Gunderson in the hospital. The next moment that was captured and posted on Facebook is something he will likely always remember. As the president and first lady entered his room, Gunderson stood up, despite being shot in the leg to greet the two with the upmost respect.Watch:The caption of the video that Gunderson posted on Facebook read:“I will never lie down when the President of this great country comes to shake my hand! There may be plenty of issues in this country but I will always respect my country, my president and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my President the respect he deserves!”PowerfulSo, while the NFL cowards take a knee or sit and claim it’s to “fix” a major issue in this country, this young man stood. He stood on a leg severely damaged, and even though he had visible pain, he steadied himself and showed the respect due to ANYONE that holds the title of President of the United States. He showed the spirit and heart of America in one small action that probably cost him hours of pain and discomfort. He didn’t cry or scream. He didn’t lash out in anger or hurt. He STOOD proudly as a man should do. As an American should do. Literally or metaphorically, we should ALL take a cue from this young man. If he can stand, then surely so can we. We can stand to end the disrespect, the hatred, the anti-American horror that is washing across this country and sticking to its beautiful landscape. We can stand and say that the liberal agenda is not meant for us, and it is not meant to fix anything. We can stand and say that we will fix what is wrong in this country, and we will do it for the victims and for people like this brave young man.
