中 "안보리 대북제재 철저 이행"…한중 6자수석 통화 South Korea's foreign ministry said on Friday that China has renewed its commitment to denuclearize North Korea and promised to implement UN Security Council sanctions on Pyongyang over its continuous missile and nuclear provocations. The promise was reportedly made during a phone conversation between Beijing's Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Affairs Wu Dawei and Seoul's Special Representative for the Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs, Kim Hong-gyun. During the phone conversation arranged at the request of China, Kim reportedly shared with Wu the results from a trilateral meeting that Kim held with his U.S. and Japanese counterparts in Washington on February 27. In return, China's top nuclear envoy told Kim that Beijing remains firm in pursuing the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, and that it will faithfully carry out the sanctions imposed by the UN Security Council on North Korea. The UN Security Council has imposed six sets of sanctions on Pyongyang since the regime first tested an atomic device back in 2006.Visit ‘Arirang News’ Official PagesFacebook(NEWS): http://www.facebook.com/newsarirangHomepage: http://www.arirang.comFacebook: http://www.facebook.com/arirangtvTwitter: http://twitter.com/arirangworldInstagram: http://instagram.com/arirangworld
