Two baby monkeys born in August at the Los Angeles Zoo are making their first appearance. The mandrills were born as part of a species survival breeding program at the zoo. The male and female babies are half-siblings, born to the same father, Jabari. Mandrills are native to western Africa, but their natural habitat has been threatened due to farming, development and hunting.
