A grassroots protest dubbed “A Day Without Immigrants” was held on Thursday in some US states. It asked immigrants nationwide not to go to work or school, or even go shopping. The goal was to push back against President Trump’s immigration policies and to show the importance of immigrants. Will it make any difference whatsoever to the status quo?
