Description
On Wednesday, United Press International reports that a study has found patients who receive the osteoporosis drug alendronate have a reduction in the risk of hip fracture. However, only one in four patients treated with cortisone receive alendronate to prevent hip fracture. Mattias Lorentzon, a professor of geriatric medicine said "The low number of people who receive this protective treatment is often due to a lack of knowledge and procedures in this area within the healthcare system." http://www.upi.com/Health_News/2017/0... http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
