G-dane’s is the security solutions company that has launched m-secure, a mini portable security device that when pressed will automatically send an alert to g-dane security response desk, the nearest police station and 3 other nominated numbers for assistance. The move is to help reduce or curb insecurity incidents and mitigate the rampant robberies that take place mostly in M-Pesa outlets and other outlets that handle bulk money. On the 17th of March 2017, Dr. James t. Masibo was accosted by thugs at his M-Pesa and pharmacy shop at Uthiru shopping centre. After a long struggle, the robbers managed to get away with ksh. 100,000. During the launch, as a way of showing commitment to the cause, G-Dane tech. Ltd chief executive officer, Mr. Titus Gicharu awarded Mr. Masibo with a cheque worth ksh.100,000/= an equivalent amount to what the robbers got away with.
