. The Charleston Gazette-Mail has been awarded the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting for exposing the unchecked flow of opioids into depressed West Virginia counties. Gazette-Mail reporter Eric Eyre documented how drug wholesalers flooded the state with 780 million hydrocodone and oxycodone pills over six years. This came at a time when 1,728 West Virginians fatally overdosed on those two painkillers. The winners were announced Monday afternoon at Columbia University in New York City.http://hosted2.ap.org/APDEFAULT/4e672...http://www.wochit.comThis video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
