(2 Oct 2017) Gun attack survivor, former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords implored Congress Monday to take action after the mass shooting Sunday night in Las Vegas."The nation's counting on you, " she said looking at Congress. Giffords, who was shot in 2011, called on her former colleagues once again to have the courage to address gun violence. Since her shooting, Giffords has become a national leader of gun control efforts.
