The US state of Hawaii will ask a federal court on Wednesday to halt the revised travel ban signed by President Donald Trump.The state announced the plan in a document submitted to the court on Tuesday.Trump's latest executive order revises an earlier travel ban issued soon after his inauguration in January.The revised order bans the entry of people from 6 Muslim-majority countries for 90 days if they do not possess a valid visa. The order excludes Iraq. It also reinstates a 120-day ban on admission of refugees from any country.Hawaii had filed for an injunction against Trump's earlier ban. The state said it will amend that suit and seek an injunction against the revised ban.It said it is asking the court to debate the matter by next Wednesday, one day before the new ban comes into effect.Hawaii will be the first US state to challenge the revised ban.Trump's first order was suspended by a federal court in Washington State.
