Six out of ten Kenyans who were polled in a voter bribery survey involving ten counties confirmed having received bribes from politicians and aspirants of elective positions. A report of the survey commissioned by the centre for multiparty democracy and Konrad Adenauer says although half of the respondents agreed that voter bribery is a crime, majority still took the bribes because no single politician has ever been convicted on account of bribery.
