[Anchor Lead]We begin today’s show with President Moon Jae-in’s speech at the National Assembly on a supplementary budget. He urged lawmakers to pass the bill on the additional funds to create jobs.[Pkg]President Moon Jae-in enters the National Assembly shaking hands with the Democratic Party lawmakers. In his speech, which lasted nearly 30 minutes, the president mentioned jobs 44 times. He said that creating decent jobs is the surest way to narrow the widening income gap and improve people's lives.[Soundbite] Pres. Moon Jae-in : "There is only one solution -- creating more jobs. We must stop jobless growth."President Moon said that currently the Korean economy is growing without job creation. He called for shifting the nation's economic paradigm by achieving economic growth through boosting the number of jobs. The president vowed to invest an additional 11.2 trillion won in the public sector to create 110,000 jobs for young people, women and seniors. He urged for parliament's cooperation by saying that the supplementary budget can be created without increasing taxes or issuing government bonds. President Moon drew attention by using a slide show during his speech and shaking hands with each of the opposition lawmakers after his presentation. Concluding his speech, the president urged parliament to cooperate to normalize state affairs as soon as possible. He also asked the opposition to help approve the nominations of top government officials.
