The management of Kenya Broadcasting Corporation KBC says its waiting for final advice from Salaries and Remuneration Commission on implementation of a collective bargaining agreement that awards the union is able staff 13.5 per cent salary increment. KBC Managing Director Waithaka Waihenya says the corporation is bound by laws governing state agencies, therefore cannot sign or implement any CBA without approval of salaries and remuneration commission. A number of KBC staff who are members of the communication workers union are on strike over the pay increment.
