At first April Ellis planned to take a month off to tinker with toy pony and electric wheelchair parts. But she soon realized there was more potential in the urban equine endeavor she called Mission Pony. She quit her job to pursue the project full time. She has since built five pony prototypes and expects to outgrow her garage workshop soon.
