http://www.nation.co.keMeru governor Peter Munya has defended himself over claims that he was opposed to tarmacking of roads in Igembe region.This is after youths took to the streets of Maua and Kangeta towns for two days and burnt an effigy of Mr Munya accusing him of sabotaging development.Mr Munya has questioned the awarding of roads tender to a company he says is owned by Igembe South MP Mithika Linturi. Mr Linturi who is eying the Meru senate seat on a Jubilee ticket had accused Mr Munya of plotting to stop construction of roads.
