Cops in Belize have ruled that a retired U.S. Marine and his girlfriend were murdered and determined theft was not the motive. Since the bodies of Drew DeVoursney and Francesca Matus were discovered in a cane field in the Central American country, speculation about their killing had centered on potential larceny.
