Description
National roads were bumper to bumper as holidaymakers made their way home after the Easter holidays. More than 100 people have been killed on the country's roads. Transport Minister Joe Maswanganyi said major crashes in KwaZulu Natal and the Western Cape contributed to the high number of fatalities. Almost 18 thousand law enforcement officers were deployed countrywide. Many commuters still opted for minibus taxies despite the bus strike being called off.
