Director Alayne Gobeille points out that George Orwell’s “Animal Farm” is an oligarchical allegory that can be interpreted in all sorts of ways. In her aquatic re-telling, titled “Two Legs Bad,” the dystopian tale takes place amidst the sea creatures who star in a failing aquarium show. For verisimilitude’s sake, Gobeille staged the play as a water ballet in the swimming pool of the hip Drifter Hotel in New Orleans. The show takes place Sept. 21-23 and 28-30, 2017.
