Description
On September 5, 2017 a group of residents from Pacific Avenue met to discuss a problem they have had for many years over the proposed turnaround on their street. Pacific Avenue is one of several access points to Fairview Park and the street terminates at Fairview Park. They say the City must construct a turnaround, mitigate security issues for Pacific Avenue residents and abate this public nuisance and trespass. They want the approved turnaround at the end of the Pacific Avenue built and only permit parking allowed on the street.Residents Dara and Jordan Strickland, whose home is ground zero for the problem, organized the meeting. They talk about the crime problems and how they have been forced to live with drug use, sexual activity, theft, vehicle damage, vehicles trespassing on private property and being woken up at all hours of the night due to noise and crime in the park after park hours. They say “the hideous dead-end entrance does nothing for the residents and invites crime and damage to the park”.To sign the petition: https://www.change.org/u/327872216
