Small town politics can cause big time issues. In Hadley, a select board member wants to create a Civility & Inclusion Committee. The proposal is a response to past issues in which some select board members have been offended by the comments of other members. Carolee McGrath spoke with Hadley Select Board Chairman Christian Stanley and Western New England University history professor John Baick, who gave a broad view of the challenges of governing in a small town.
