"Active talks" are happening again.https://www.engadget.com/2017/09/19/s... Sprint and T-Mobile have been doing a dance of acquistion and merging for years now, and it looks like all the talk might finally be leading someplace. According to CNBC, the two companies are now actively discussing a merger. If you're feeling a sense of deja vu, it's not just you -- this has happened before. The discussions go all the way back to 2014, when Sprint's parent company, Softbank, wanted to buy T-Mobile. Then, earlier this year, we reported the two companies were considering merging. Now "considering" has progressed to "actively discussing."Subscribe to Engadget on YouTube: http://engt.co/subscribe Get More Engadget: • Like us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/engadget • Follow us on Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/engadget • Follow us on Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/engadget • Add us on Snapchat: https://www.snapchat.com/add/engadgetHQ • Read more: http://www.engadget.com Engadget is the definitive guide to this connected life.
