Now you can grow your own car.Dutch students recently created an electric car with a biocomposite body structure derived from sugar beets and flax.Beet resin is blended into a bio-plastic that gives the car its structural support.The two materials are also extremely light, as a four-seat electric prototype weighs just under 700 pounds. Lighter weight also means fewer batteries, so the vehicle's battery pack weighs just 70 pounds.
