Description
Growth in e-commerce companies like Amazon and Alibaba have led to a boom in parcel delivery services. Now, players outside the industry want to get in on the action. In a new free report available from BusinessInsider.com, BI Intelligence reports Amazon, Alibaba, and Walmart to handle more of their own shipping. It concludes that big retailers are well positioned to disrupt the parcel industry. In fact, demand is so great that transportation and logistics--rather than the next fidget spinner or pet rock-- could be the next billion dollar opportunity for e-commerce companies. Amazon has already launched same-day delivery service, which it handles through its own fleet of carriers, cutting out any third-party shippers. The company also recently began establishing shipping routes between China and North America. To save money, Walmart has begun leasing shipping containers to transport manufactured goods from China. It's also making greater use of lockers and in-store pickup options to cut down on delivery costs. http://www.businessinsider.com/shippi... http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit Business using http://wochit.com
